You know what they say about raising kids? The days are long but the years are short. Turns out, it’s the same phenomenon when you’re building a business.
It’s hard for me to believe it’s been 30 years since my partner Sid and I started Nordis—which is a combination of Ron and Sid spelled backwards. Our original business raised money for thousands of youth organizations nationwide, selling promotional plastic discount cards with local advertisers on the back. After several years, Sid decided to retire.
I soon became frustrated with the printers we used to produce and send the advertising materials and decided I could do a better job myself. This led to selling the promotions business to focus on direct mail and other printing. Fast forward to 2005, we moved from lettershop to offering innovative tech solutions for better managing the entire customer communications development and printing process, and here we are!

Of course, our talented team at Nordis has made all of my dreams, plans and evolution of the company possible. I am proud to say that some of the early employees are still with us, and we’ve also made some great hires at every level along the way to diversify and strengthen our collective skills and experience.
