Hurricane season is here, which means it’s time to take a look at your current business disaster recovery plan and make sure all of your important vendors have a plan in place as well. At Nordis Direct, we recently revamped our disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure that our customers’ most critical communications will continue to go out and their clients’ responses and payments will continue to come in.
Why You Can Count on Nordis Direct During Hurricane Season
We’re in the Cloud
Expresso is a cloud-based platform, which means hurricanes are not a problem. No matter what the weather brings, you’ll still be able to access your communication packages, view templates, make changes, send emails, and process your job to print and mail. At Nordis, it will be business as usual. We also provide you with an emergency contact, so if you have any questions, you’ll know who to call and how to reach them.
We’ve Got a Comprehensive Plan
Should a storm ever threaten the South Florida area, Nordis has a second facility in Las Vegas as well as partnerships with key vendors to keep production running without interruption. Both Nordis locations are SSAE16-certified and HIPAA-compliant. With start-of-the-art equipment, processes and quality standards in place —your jobs are printed, assembled, and mailed/emailed regardless of the weather.
We’ve also added some extra reinforcements to make sure these facilities are ready for just about anything. Our facility in Coral Springs, FL located 15 miles from the Atlantic coastline, was built to withstand a high category hurricane. A permanent 300 KW diesel generator was installed to keep the facility fully operational in the event of an electrical failure. Plus upgraded video surveillance cameras and a comprehensive business security / key fob access system have been installed at both locations — providing another layer of protection.
While it isn’t likely that there will be a hurricane in the desert any time soon, other types of disasters can occur out West. So naturally, our Coral Springs facility will provide reciprocal support for our Las Vegas facility.
Your Peace of Mind is Our Priority
We’ve made a number of improvements to our business continuity capabilities in the last year to identify potential causes that might interrupt business and to implement a plan to maintain / restore operations by the most effective method possible. Since you can never be too prepared, Nordis continues to make improvements, train our staff, test and review our plans regularly. Your business is too important to settle for anything less.
